Our Mission

To pray for seafarers and fishers at Mass, feast together and gift them while offering hospitality and pastoral care to the People of the Sea and other large water bodies.

Inspired by our Catholic faith we respect beliefs and practices of all seafarers and fishers, we nourish their spiritual lives by being Christ for them and finding Christ in them.

SOCIAL WELFARE 

Concerned for the social well-being of seafarers, we provide internet and telecommunications facilities, to allow them to keep in contact with their families, and recreational activities promoting their mental and physical health.

Committed to social justice for all and believing in the dignity of the human person, we support seafarers in their right to fair remuneration, appropriate onboard accommodation, safe working conditions, and non-discriminatory treatment by advocacy and working with other organizations..

Our Endeavour

Stella Maris Kenya is supporting Fishers & Seafarers worldwide.

Social Well-being

We need your involvement to help us in facilitating the social well-being of the seafarers who work in difficult conditions whilst in need of basic needs like foodstuff, clean water, and medication while at sea.

Spiritual Well Being

We need your involvement to help us in facilitating the spiritual well-being of the seafarers while at sea.

Social Justice

Join us to support seafarers in advocating for their rights to fair remuneration, appropriate onboard accommodation, safe working conditions and non-discriminatory treatment.

How you can help

You can offer your support today in any or all of the areas mentioned below.

Donate Foodstuffs

We need a constant supply of non-perishable foodstuff that can last for months e.g. cereals, cooking oil, sugar, etc.

Legal Support

We need legal support, especially for those seafarers with cases related to social injustices related to their work at sea.

Social Welfare

We need facilitation to provide internet, and telecommunications facilities, to allow them to keep in contact with their families, and recreational activities to promote their mental and physical health.
